Castricum

On the border of the wooded Noord-Holland Dune Reserve there stand Castricum and Bakkum, hard by a peaceful North Sea beach. Surfers, swimmers, sun-worshipers too; all will find every facility here and seekers after peace can enter the dune area. An explanation of the growth and blooming of plants and animal life in the dunes is provided in the'de Hoep' visitor centre. The borough has fine facilities with restaurants, shopping centres and sporting opportunities.
